One Saturday morning - everyone had just gotten up - and they were all sitting there watching spongebob and drinking their milk or coffee (yes, Grant drinks coffee on Sat mornings - a little coffe and a lot of milk. Leah of course drinks milk. So - she fits right in - Sat morning cartoons and a beverage - who can beat that!

Here's Leah with her Cranial Band on - we think she's still the most beautiful little girl in the world! They say they have seen some movement - and that she needs to wear it for about 6 more weeks. We can't wait to get it off! It's very smelly in the summer time!

First Pool Pictures

I bought Leah her first pool this past weekend and she LOVED it! she just splashed and splashed. She was adorable. Grant joined in to - so it should be a fun summer since we have a pool girl!

Soccer Weekend

Guy and Grant had games this weekend - both did great!

Here's a picture of Grant in his game - forgot the camera for Guy's - but here's a picture from one a few weeks ago.

It was a beautiful weekend - in the 80's! Grant and I played tennis this afternoon and Vince and Guy hit golf balls at the driving range. So, we kind of had a sports weekend - which is kind of funny since I'm not a sports kind of gal. That's what boys will do to you!

Still having fun getting Leah's room together - can't wait for some pink in our lives!

Still Slow Progress

Well, they have matched up to Oct 24th for Log in Dates - slow - we are still getting closer - just slow! I'm hoping that we get our referral in July - maybe as late as August - so hard to believe that we have waited this long to see our precious Leah!

We have the crib up and we are finishing the room - I think that I have waited so late to do it because it would be so hard to walk by her room every day without her in it -

So - on the list - finish Leah's room - and start our packing list!

Oh yeah, tomorrow Vince and I have to go get our Hep A and Tetnus booster shots - ouch - but one step closer to Leah!

I'll post a cute pic of Vince and Grant napping - so cute!

Slow Progress

The CCAA has gotten up to Oct 13 - so we are less than 2 Log in months to Dec 9, 2005 (our LID). The only issue is that Oct and Nov are supposedly huge months as far as dossiers logged in during those months. So, it may take 2-3 months to get through each of those months.

We are hoping for a June or July referral. I wish it could be sooner - but I can't get my hopes us. Then we'll be traveling at the end of the summer of beginning of fall. Wow, feels like forever. But on the bright side, it is already Feb 11th.

Still have to do Leah's room - it's the next project on the list - I think I've been waiting to do her room b/c then it will be really hard to walk past it every day and want her in it!

Pretty Dog

We have the best looking dog there ever has been. Of course, Vince says I have on my Mommy goggles - but I don't know - He's pretty darn cute.

Talking about Leah

It's funny, we all talk about Leah as if she is already here. The wait is just so hard. Tonight at dinner Guy said, "I wonder if Leah will like soccer?" Good question - we can't wait to find out. Her room is about half ready - it's painted and I have her bedding - just need to put up the crib and do the finishing decorating touches. Vince doesn't know this yet, but I'm going to put a little chandelier in her room - Why not?, I say.

So, we'll just continue to wonder about things like if she will like to play soccer, what she will look like, what will she think of Armstrong, what kind of food she will like, etc, etc.

Here's to hoping for speedier referrals.

We are through the REVIEW ROOM!!!

A time to celebrate! The CCAA has passed our dossier on to the matching room. So, that means that they have officially approved us to adopt a little girl from their country. We didn't think there would be a problem - there were no arrests in our background (or at least none that showed up on Vince's record - just kidding) and we don't have any health issues - but it is one more hurdle that we have jumped.

Now - we keep saying, come on referrals!! I am really hoping that things are speeding up - they have about 4 months of Log in Dates to get through before ours which is 12-9-05. I am really hoping that we will be getting our referral in March or April and will travel May or June - at the latest maybe travel in Aug or Sept - but of course the sooner the better!

My friend Annie said hearing this news was like feeling the baby kick for the very first time- and that is a really good analogy. We kind of think - "maybe this is really going to happen after all!"

It's been 9 months, WHERE'S MY BABY???

Yesterday, 9/9/2006 was officially 9 months since our LID - Log in Date (our paperwork registered in China). Right now, our dossier is in the review room - they just finished reviewing Nov 2005 dossiers. So, this had me thinking - at 9 months, I had the boys - no more waiting. Not so now - my patience is being tested - and let me tell you, this is one very anticpated little girl.

I keep saying I hope they speed things up - maybe they will this month! More to come soon!
